Heaphy Track Vehicle Relocation Service (in either direction)
Westwards Cost: $290 (plus fuel)
You borrow the Heaphy Track Help 8-seater 4WD van from Takaka, drive it to the Brown Hut carpark (Collingwood end) then walk the Track. Meanwhile, we drive your vehicle around to Kohaihai carpark (Karamea end). Derry may come through the Track on foot, meeting you along the way, but we may make alternative arrangements. At times of heavy bookings there may also be other ways that we get you out to Brown Hut. Therefore we ask you to provide a spare key for your vehicle if this is possible.
It is a simple, reliable solution to the transport logistics giving you freedom at the West Coast end.
Eastwards: Discounts at busy times
Your vehicle is driven from Kohaihai carpark to Brown Hut. During our busy period the cost is often discounted to $200 plus fuel (negotiable, depending on circumstances). Relocations from the West Coast to Golden Bay can be done at any time of year but the cost may be the standard $290 (plus fuel) during the quieter season, unless we happen to have a booking in the other direction.

"Getting off to a good start" package
For a party of up to six walkers, Derry accompanies you to the Brown Hut car park, from Takaka or environs, at your chosen start time. We carry up to 20Kg of your supplies up to the Perry Saddle Hut.
This gets your party up and over the highest point on the Track with lighter packs for that first day's long uphill walk. Cost: $190
Food Drops
For car relocations in the westwards direction we can often arrange up to 15Kg of food and supplies to be carried into the Heaphy or Lewis Hut for an additional $60.

Terms:
Cash, cheque or online payment at time of service. No advance deposit required. No EFTPOS or crediit card processing facilities are available. We are not registered for GST.
